Administrative Core
The Administrative Core provides senior institutional leaders to assist and advise on the planning of Partnership initiatives and events at both institutions. Additionally, the core facilitates and coordinates Partnership research, education, and outreach activities related to cancer.
Planning & Evaluation Core
The Planning & Evaluation Core enables cutting-edge cancer research through the solicitation, evaluation, and selection of new research projects.
Research Education Core
The Research Education Core aims to increase the number of individuals pursuing graduate degrees and careers in cancer research and/or biomedical science. By ensuring high-quality research experiences, strong mentoring, and development of specialized skills, the core will encourage and prepare promising students for research careers.
Outreach Core
The Outreach Core builds relationships with external partners, promotes evidence-based cancer prevention in communities, trains UMass Boston students in community-engaged research, supports Partnership research projects, and participates in NCI National Outreach Network (NON) activities.
Genomics Core
The Genomics Core enables UMass Boston investigators and academic and industry collaborators to carry out basic and translational genomics research. The core leverages cutting-edge technologies and next-generation sequencing capabilities for research and clinical applications.
Research Design and Analysis Core
The Research Design and Analysis Core builds upon existing centers/cores at UMass Boston and Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. It provides statistical design and data analysis to facilitate sound clinical and basic science research.
